Canadian Greenhouse Conference 2024

Published on
July 2, 2024

On October 9th and 10th, Skytree exhibited at booth 1130 at the Canadian Greenhouse Conference. We had many good conversations about our cutting-edge Direct Air Capture (DAC) technology and its transformative potential for the Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA) sector, greenhouses in particular.

Camille Hanna, our Business Development Director, led a session on how DAC can revolutionize CO2 supply, enhancing both sustainability and efficiency in greenhouse operations. Hope you enjoyed exploring the future of CO2 utilization in agriculture and connecting with industry leaders. See you next year!

First results of the trial with Skytree’s Cumulus at the Bleiswijk Innovation Center

Kas als Energiebron has published the first results from Skytree's Cumulus trial at Bleiswijk Innovation Center and they match the industry's standard OCAP Pipeline System.

The unit has captured and supplied over 1,660 kg of CO₂ to cucumbers over 166 days. These are promising results for the future of DAC in Dutch greenhouse horticulture.

Skytree, Fotoniq, Voltiris and Thermeleon win the "Dragons Den" pitch for the "Greenhouse of the Future"

Together with FOTONIQ, Voltiris and Thermeleon we have won the "Dragons Den" pitch for the "Greenhouse of the Future" contest from Greenport West-Holland! We believe that in the greenhouse of the future, multiple innovations should be integrated systemically. By combining our strengths and developing plug-and-play solutions, we are creating a greenhouse that is future-ready—and will stay that way—from sustainable energy to smart CO₂ capture and optimal daylight & climate control.
