In 2014, Skytree spun-off from the European Space Agency (ESA). Our patented CO2 removal process was first developed for the air scrubber onboard the International Space Station. This would go on to become the basis of the filtration system we now use in electric cars.
About 40% of an electric car's battery feeds your HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) system. In car cabins, as little as 10% of pollution is removed by some filters, creating a build-up of CO2, fumes and general pollution that is 15 times higher than without.
Traditional HVAC systems are the largest energy consumers in not only electric vehicles but also buildings, schools and hospitals. Decreasing the energy consumption of HVAC systems is becoming increasingly important due to the rising concerns around their carbon footprint. Skytree’s technology saves energy without compromising comfort and indoor air quality.
Ersa is a b2b product, designed to be integrated into electric vehicles where it creates a pocket of fresh, clean air while improving energy efficiency. Our patented process employs a unique Carbon Dioxide filter which scrubs CO2 and water in a car cabin.
Preventing CO2 and water build-up allows vehicles to maximize the recirculation of cabin air while drastically cutting the energy needed by the air-conditioner.
Ersa creates a clean indoor air bubble, facilitating healthier cabin air by reducing outdoor air pollution introduced into the car cabin by up to 80% and removing dangerous gases such as NOx & SOx. Ersa also removes fine particulate matter (PM2.5) which make up about 90% of all airborne particles, which can get deep into your lungs and into your bloodstream have been linked to heart attacks, strokes, asthma, and even cancer.
CUTTING EDGE MATERIALS
Skytree uses a blended sorbent mixture comprised of state-of-the-art materials. We have established private and institutional material testing partnerships allowing us to remain on the cutting-edge of material development. Skytree currently holds three patents on its carbon removal process in the EU, US & China including the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT).

Carbon removal technology is the future. CO2 captured directly from the air will one day be used as a profitable and sustainable resource in the production of fuels, chemicals, building materials, carbon farming and other products containing CO2.
Recently carbon removal technology has come to the forefront of climate-positive solutions. Investment in net-zero emissions has accelerated. We are open to investment from funds/individuals to help scale and advance our first product, Ersa, as well as our technology roadmap. As a materials company that sells its filters as well as licenses its process across different applications, Ersa is but our launching product on our path to scaling carbon removal technology and creating a net-zero economy

How will the funds be used?
The funds raised will be used to accelerate the deployment of Ersa through the expansion of our engineering capability, development of supply chain infrastructure and protection of our process through an enhanced patent portfolio.
Skytree is open to involvement from international funds as well as individuals. The minimum ticket size for investment is €100K. Your investment will be in the form of a convertible loan or as straight equity depending on its size and timing.
